About watches
What is a seiko mod?
The term MOD stands for modification and refers to the process by which we reinterpret established Seiko NH series movements through our craftsmanship expertise and the use of watch parts compatible with Seiko movements.
If you are planning to resell your watch at a later date, we would like to point out that marking it as a SEIKO MOD or SEIKO modification is mandatory.
Can I personalize my watch?
Of course it is entirely possible to personalize your watch, we have a contact page where you can contact us for any request.
Are Seiko mods counterfeit watches?
No, Seiko mods are not counterfeits. A Seiko mod is an authentic Seiko watch that has been modified or customized by enthusiasts or watchmakers to add unique features or elements to the watch.
These modifications may include cosmetic or functional changes, but the basis of the watch remains a genuine Seiko watch.
Modifications may be made to improve the performance, style or uniqueness of the watch, but they are not intended to imitate or copy another brand.
What movements are used in our watches?
We use NH34, NH35A, NH38A, NH70A and NH72 automatic mechanical movements for our modified Seiko watches.
These movements are recognized for their reliability and precision, providing an exceptional watchmaking experience to our customers.
Each of these movements is carefully selected to ensure long-lasting performance and exceptional quality, adding invaluable value to our modified Seiko watches.

Automatic movement
Explanation of the mechanism
These movements operate without electronic parts and store energy by winding the crown. An integrated rotor automatically winds the watch as it is worn and moved on the wrist.
Rotate the hands of a clock
When the watch is stopped, you need to turn the crown 30-40 times, then the movement of your wrist is enough to keep the watch running.
The crown
Crowns are used to regulate watches and wind the spring in mechanical and automatic movements.
Screw-down crowns
Most Presige Chronos watches have a screw-down crown. In the next step, we will explain the different positions of the crown.
